Fortell Anywhere is Fortell's virtual audiology clinic, allowing you access to licensed audiologists from the comfort of home. Your audiologist will help you get up and running with Fortell AI Hearing Aids and can provide hearing consultations, fine tunings, and follow-up care, with no in-clinic visit required.
Your audiologist uses the same fitting software, the same clinical protocol, and the same Fortell AI Hearing Aids as our in-clinic patients. The difference is location — yours. You connect over Zoom, your audiologist guides you through every step, and your devices are adjusted in real time using our remote programming software. The care is the same. The commute isn't.
Virtual care works well for most straightforward hearing losses (i.e., presbycusis). To be eligible, you'll need to:
- Have an iPhone or iPad, since our remote adjustment app is iOS only
- Provide a diagnostic audiogram completed within the last 12 months
- Not have a severe to profound hearing loss or very poor word recognition (below 65%)
- Not have complex medical needs
It's an even better fit if you:
- Are comfortable with basic video calls
- Have the dexterity to handle small parts on your own, like changing domes and wax guards
Some conditions require a hands-on exam first, for example sudden or recent hearing loss, ear pain or drainage, dizziness, or visible ear blockage. If any of these apply, we'll help you schedule an in-clinic visit before proceeding.
Fortell Anywhere is currently available in most U.S. states. During your intro call, we'll confirm availability in your state before moving forward.
We require a diagnostic audiogram completed within the last 12 months. This is a full hearing test performed by a licensed audiologist or hearing professional — not an online screening. If you don't have a recent one, we can help you find a provider near you. Just mention it during your intro call and we'll point you in the right direction.
Yes, your audiologist can adjust and fine-tune your hearing aids' programming virtually using the same software used in-office, guiding you through pairing and fitting on the call. We are able to send updates virtually through the Fortell companion app on your iPhone or iPad which is why it’s necessary to have one of those devices.
While we don't bill insurance directly, some insurance plans allow you to submit for reimbursement. We're happy to provide paperwork for you to submit for out-of-network coverage.
All appointments, virtual and in-clinic, are included in the cost of your hearing aids, as often as needed, for five years. There's no additional charge per visit.
Your Fortell AI Hearing Aids include 5 years of audiological care–all of the fine tuning and follow ups as often as needed, in addition to a 100-day trial period, a 3 year comprehensive warranty, and 3 years of loss & damage coverage. Full details can be found here: https://www.fortell.com/warranty
Fortell offers a 100-day home trial so you can test your hearing aids in the places you frequent the most. If they aren't right for you, you can return them within 100 days for a refund. Full details can be found here.
Your Fortell AI Hearing Aids are pre-programmed to your audiogram before they ship, so they're already calibrated to your hearing profile when they arrive. Inside the box you'll find your devices, charging case, and everything you need for your fitting call. We recommend charging them fully before your appointment. Your audiologist will walk you through the rest live on Zoom — you won't be figuring anything out on your own.
Most virtual visits take 30 to 60 minutes. You can schedule directly through the scheduling link on this page, and we'll send you a confirmation with everything you need to prepare.
Just reach out to your care team. All of the follow-up adjustments and consultations will be done by Zoom or phone call.
Yes. If a Fortell clinic opens near you, or if you'd like to come in for an in-person visit at any of our locations, your audiologist and your full hearing profile travel with you. There's no starting over — your care continues seamlessly in whichever format works best.
